I checked out Ani Phyo's book at the library. I freaking love the library. Anyways, She only has one bread recipe in there. Which I like, because I think its good to keep the dehydrated stuff down to a minimum. But it is definitely nice to be able to eat a sandwich every once in awhile.
So I made this sesame sunflower bread. It was pretty good... the texture is something I'm gonna have to get used to. I would probably add a little more salt, or some other spice to give it more flavor next time. But all in all it's nice. I'm not gonna give you the recipe because you have to go get her book, or borrow it from the library :), but I'll give you the ingredients... ground flax, flax seeds, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, onion, garlic and sea salt. Super simple.
Good night!

Looks good...the final thing I don't have is a dehydrator. I am also a bit intimidated by the long wait times and really feel like it would be so useful for deserts and crackers, neither of which are really "necessary" foods, ya know. So I havent rushed out and bought one, but I plan to. Ani's new dessert cookbook and Sarma's new RFRW book both use the dehydrator quite a bit so I am thinking maybe I will try one. I just got a juicer though and blogged all about it...holy newfound love!
ReplyDeleteYa it took me a long time to take a liking to my dehydrator... but now Im loving it. Im making sun dried tomatos and more raw bread at this very moment :)
ReplyDeleteThe juicer is definatly a necessity. I juice at least a pint a day. I think juicing is much more effective than taking pill form vitamins, and it always gives me a great energy rush :)
Love it
